the academic skills center has 16 tutors on staff for 2020-2021 to support students in subject-based courses. our peer tutors are highly trained students, who come with great faculty recommendations. our tutors can tutor in a variety of subjects including: chemistry, math, statistics, writing, biology, economics, finance, accounting, languages and more. the asc is certified as a professional tutoring center through the international tutoring certification program, which is endorsed by the college reading and learning association. all asc tutors are required to participate in more than 20 hours of training to receive individual certification.
additionally, our tutors offer organizational tutoring, which will help any student with academic skills such as note taking, time management, organization or learning styles. here are our tutors:
